“The Children’s Conference of the Future in Support of the United Nations in INAGI” was held on August 30th.

On August 30, the Peace Communication and INAGI City co-hosted the “The Children’s Conference of the Future in Support of the United Nations in INAGI” at the INAGI City Community Development Plaza and Inagi City Council Chambers, with two sixth-grade students each from 12 elementary schools in INAGI City participating.
The conference was divided into two parts. In the first part, a workshop was held to “think about the future INAGI City where they can continue to live. The second part was held on the floor of the INAGI City Council chambers, where the participants discussed the importance of “Inagi’s uniqueness. The number of pear farmers is decreasing, so to protect pears, we should make pears popular and increase the number of pear farmers.” ”It is important for the family generation and the elderly to feel secure. I propose introducing posters and a survey to the city to introduce nursing care.” ”Caring hearts are important. Create opportunities for caring among Inagi people” ”It is important to discuss about nature. It is important to discuss about nature, and to find out what other cities are doing about nature” ”It is important to be oneself. Make a pear road.” ”Contributing to society and understanding values are important. The six groups from A to F presented a variety of ideas, such as “When you find differences with others, take it as a positive thing.
During the judging, Mr. Yumeto Ito, Senior Advisor, Sustainability Promotion Unit, Avex, Inc. gave a stage talk based on his own experiences and sustainability initiatives, including “avex class,” a traveling career education program that conveys the importance of “the power to believe in one’s talent and dreams. The winner of the Grand Prize was “The Value of a Dream”.
The Grand Prize winner said, “Understanding values and contributing to society is important. Group F presented the idea, “When you find differences with others, take it as a positive. The group that wins the Grand Prize will be eligible to participate in the 5th World Conference on the Future of Children Supporting the United Nations to be held in Tokyo next March and the FUTURE SUMMIT MIRAI General Assembly to be held in Osaka and Kansai Expo in August.
